The process of observing and then trying to record an object is a means of trying to understand it. The slow process of analytically drawing these forms becomes paradoxical - the more the object is observed and recorded, the less I understand it and the greater the distance between myself and the object becomes.

I’m interested in the attempt but subsequent failure of this process to bring me closer to an ‘other’.
